Mental Health and Movement
Using our Core4 & 4Youth communities, we conducted an exploration into understanding the benefits of physical activity with regards to mental health, along with identifying key barriers to engaging in regular physical activity and highlighting ways in which gyms/sports centres, brands and the media industry can help encourage people to be more active.
We found that 77% of respondents said that they feel more positive after taking part in physical activity – we also found that people who engage in higher levels of physical activity are almost twice as likely to report good mental health!
