Gadgets – iPhone 6
Gadgets. We all use gadgets in our daily lives in one way, shape or form and they all influence our lifestyles. In this blog I will discuss my most used and favourite gadget, which is the iPhone 6 and why it trumps it’s competitors. Firstly, the design, features and operating system on this gadget are second to none. It functions flawlessly and after using it for 5 months I have never had a problem with it. On the contrary, my mother who owns a competitor (Samsung Galaxy S5) had several issues with it and had to have it repaired twice due to internal issues. The design is created so meticulously, the build quality is superb in terms of how it feels in the hand and the materials used which are a metal back giving it that premium feel. It’s also incredibly light and thin at only 6.9mm!
The clarity and crispness when looking at text is always on point as Apple have implemented enhanced screen technology.
Looking at the screen quality, it is also exceptional. Throughout my usage of watching various videos and reading text it has always lived up to that retina display hype and you can identify each individual pixel to a certain capacity; the screen resolution comes in a 326 pixels per inch and it really shows when using this incredible phone. The clarity and crispness when looking at text is always on point as Apple have implemented enhanced screen technology. However, when using other competitors such as Android they are inferior – they notoriously have stuttering issues and lag as my mother has experienced various times on her Android phone.
Looking at the user interface, operating system and camera they all combine to make it a seamless experience. The operating system has an incredibly simple interface which can be used to open applications easily, search, toggle settings on and off and do various things on the home screen alone, with the ability to add widgets on the notification centre which is an added bonus. The operating system usually is very reliable in terms of speed when using it. It also has a personal assistant which is ‘Siri’ that does what you command it to… i.e. ‘’Siri turn off the Wi-Fi’.’ Siri will do just that, and many, many other commands. It also has touch ID which is a simple way to unlock your phone which is far more convenient than a typical passcode, as all you simply do is place your thumb on the home button and it unlocks – an added benefit of owning an iPhone 6 above all other phones out there on the market.
