Be your own role model

Sometimes you just gotta be your own role model! There are people out there that you can idolise, but face the facts, we can never be them. Be it Kylie Jenner, Emma Watson or J-Law.

Personally I feel that we can try and imitate some of their better qualities or looks etc., but if we want to be this ‘amazing’ person, we just have to be the best version of ourselves! Celebs don’t get to where they are by following the popular trends and being someone else, no, they MAKE the trends, they EMBODY the new trend and BECOME a trend! So why can’t we?

It’s easy to say “I’m going to be the better me #NewYearNewMe”, but it’s difficult to stick to it. But I want you to read this and stick to this for the rest of your life. DUN DUN DUN, that’s a big commitment, but trust me, it’s worth it.

Here it goes….

BE YOUR OWN ROLE MODEL, make the better version of yourself your role model. Think about yourself in the future and where you want to be, and then get there. Set yourself a goal of becoming this future you! Take small steps towards it. Maybe you want to be a film director, a world-renowned athlete, a doctor, or maybe you just want to be happier and have a group of close-knit friends. Once you have your goal in mind, think about what you have to be to get there. An athlete? Go join a club or start training in your own back garden. A doctor? Work extra hard in those lessons you know you need to learn (even if you don’t particularly like it…). You gotta do what you can to get where you want to be.

I’m sick and tired of just sitting and thinking “I want to be this in 10 years time”, and then not doing anything about it! This post is not just to help you, but to help me too. I need to pick myself up and start doing.

“STOP WISHING AND START DOING!”

I want to inspire myself by picturing this better version of me and trying to get towards it. Even if it’s a simple as emailing people and asking questions. Or maybe just starting my making myself feel more confident in myself, by maybe making some new friends, taking myself shopping or giving myself a talking to in the mirror (sounds cringey, but it kinda works tbh). Write down a list of steps and then DO THEM!

Go out there and make yourself into the better version of yourself and become your own role model.
