In Defence of MIC
Millie Mackintosh, Spencer Matthews, Mark-Francis Vandelli Orlov-Romanovsky (yes, really!) et al, here’s to you all…
Rahs have had a bad time recently. They’re the city boys who brought down the banks, the politicians who never seem to get it right, the lovers of hunting, ‘too much money not enough sense’ – the list goes on.
Enter Channel 4’s hit show ‘Made In Chelsea’ and suddenly we’re totally fascinated by the Rahs. Twitter and Facebook are filled with legions of followers all looking to emulate their unique style and sophistication. As much as they’re criticised they’re equally revered…
Then there’s playboy Spencer Matthews, the archetypal womanising alpha male, surely the envy of every man up and down the country (whether they admit it or not), his smooth confidence, slicked back hair and overflowing bank account would charm the pants off anyone.
Need I mention Francis Boulle, heir to a diamond fortune, hopeless romantic and skater at heart… Eccentric magazine editor Mark-Francis Vandelli Orlov-Romanovsky, big name and an even bigger character. They’re well aware they’re slightly ridiculous, very posh and over the top and they champion it.
Through Made In Chelsea this Tribe have found a new lease of life. The Rah is yah again, long may it continue!
