Going Out!
As the sun continues to shine the Tribes started to talk about their plans for the weekend, so we asked them how their weekends differ from weekdays and found out about what makes their weekends amazing!
The tribes love hanging out with their mates -socialising with friends at the weekend is key! The majority of comments from tribes about their weekends mention meeting or socialising with friends.
The Tribes are all 16-24, however it was noticed that that there is a difference in the weekend activities embarked on between 16-17 year olds and 18-24 year olds. For instance, 18+ like to go to parties and include alcohol in their weekends, whereas 16-17’s tend to ‘chill’ more at home.
Typical weekends:
A typical weekend for most tribes during the day would consist of going to the cinema, going out for lunch with friends or going shopping. The nights consist of having small gatherings or getting together with friends, maybe going out for a meal or going to a pub or club together and maybe staying over at each-others houses. Friends are a huge part of a tribes social life; weekends revolve around carrying out the plans made with mates during the week through social networking, which suggests weekends without friends would be pretty boring.
Older Tribes often go out regardless of what day it is; this may be because of work or money management, or because they get bored sitting indoors. Many tribes aged 16-17 stated that they spend most of their weekdays studying or just simply sitting in at home, this is pertinent amongst all of the tribes who have exams.
Ideal Weekends:
Many ‘Ideal weekends’ would consist of going to festivals or parties, shopping or going out for meals. Festivals or music concerts are the ultimate fun for most tribes as more often than not they are very ‘into’ music, which can be a main factor of how you fit into a tribe. For example Alternatives take inspiration from indie bands, and on the weekends they tend to go to concerts and gigs.
